Faldu Davids reacts on the referee after the late penalty

 

Maritzburg United coach Faldu Davids insinuated after the match that the match officials might have been Kaizer Chiefs supporter after Amakhosi won the game with a penalty.

Chiefs started like a house on fire, scoring twice in the first 10 minutes via Keagan Dolly and Christian Saile Basamboli. However, Maritzburg came back into the tie thanks to goals by De Goede and Amadou Saukouna, who leveled the tie before the break.

In the end, Chiefs walked away with three points after referee Xola Sitela awarderd the visitors a penalty in the 76th minute.

After the match, Davids was visibly annoyed with the referee. starting his post-match interview with SuperSport TV: ''i just wanted to say maybe a chiefs supporter. Maybe a supporter. This errors are costing us''.

The results leaves Maritzburg in the relegation zone.
